Install on Windows
A signed x64 installer, a standard Windows user, and a small first project.
Read as MarkdownVerify the installer
Download Windows x64 from Downloads. Compare the published SHA-256 using Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 <installer.exe> in PowerShell. Inspect Properties → Digital Signatures, or use Get-AuthenticodeSignature <installer.exe>. Check the publisher and timestamp against the release information. Do not disable SmartScreen or ignore an invalid signature.
Install and start
Run the verified installer. Allow only the documented installation changes. If the release requires an isolated execution runtime or a Windows feature restart, complete that step before enabling Agent. Start Workcell from its shortcut as your normal user, not from an elevated administrator shell.
Check the first launch
Open the small starter project, verify that the viewport is visible and keep it paused. Check text size and keyboard focus. Follow activation when customer access is available. A graphics-driver or runtime error needs diagnosis; repeatedly launching older builds is not a repair.
Update or remove
Use updates and uninstall. Keep projects outside the application directory. Support needs the version, Windows build and redacted error—not your license token or payment details.
