Install on Linux ARM64
Use a native aarch64 build and keep the laptop workload lightweight.
Read as MarkdownSelect and verify
Confirm uname -m reports aarch64 or arm64. Choose Linux ARM64 on Downloads. Compare sha256sum <archive> with the complete published checksum before extracting. An AMD64 archive or compatibility emulator is not a native ARM64 installation.
Prepare the desktop
Use an ordinary user with a working Wayland or X11 session and the dependencies listed for the release. Managed activation uses the desktop Secret Service; unlock your keyring. Do not turn on plaintext credential storage to bypass a locked or missing keyring.
Run the installed launcher
Use the Workcell shortcut. The ARM64 launcher also provides workcell-foundry preflight for display/storage diagnostics. workcell-foundry run --ui-scale 125 selects a larger interface. Do not edit files inside a content-addressed installed application object.
Keep first launch small
Start with the tiny paused project. Do not automatically restore a heavy simulation. A black view may be a camera or missing-asset problem, not necessarily a GPU failure; inspect the scene and see troubleshooting.
