Validate a simulated workcell

Measure behavior under stated conditions, not just a plausible picture.

Know what is loaded

Check world and controller paths, dependencies, devices, coordinate frames, units and starting conditions. Confirm that floor, lights and camera actually load. A parser success or screenshot does not establish physical task completion.

Run a bounded test

Begin paused, choose a manageable duration and observe the relevant sensors, motion and interactions. For transfer tasks, inspect contact, grasp, transport, release and settling—not just robot movement. Preserve errors and incomplete runs rather than calling them passes.

Compare fairly

Keep timing, seeds, payloads and controller versions comparable. Record nondeterminism and environmental differences. Heavy physics belongs on a suitable machine; keep a modest ARM64 laptop's inspection views lightweight.

Simulation boundary

Workcell is a design, simulation and review tool. It does not certify a physical robot installation or authorize hardware operation. Real commissioning, safety and physical validation require separate engineering work.
