# Requirements and platform choice Choose a compatible computer, not just a familiar download label. ## Three distinct builds Windows x64 is for 64-bit Intel/AMD Windows computers. Linux ARM64 (aarch64) is for 64-bit ARM Linux computers. Linux AMD64 (x86_64) is for 64-bit Intel/AMD Linux computers, including the supported VPS path. Windows ARM64 is not one of these release targets. ## Check before installation On Linux, `uname -m` identifies the CPU architecture. On Windows, open Settings → System → About and check System type. The release entry lists the tested OS, dependencies and download size. Do not assume an unlisted distribution or GPU is qualified. ## Graphics, storage and network The graphical app needs a working desktop session and compatible OpenGL driver. Allow space for extraction, the installed app, a rollback copy and your projects. Managed AI and activation require HTTPS access. Project complexity, textures and simulation rate affect memory and GPU usage; an empty scene does not establish a large-world hardware minimum. ## Desktop versus VPS A displayless server cannot show the desktop app. Choose [headless automation](/docs/vps-headless/) or configure a [secured remote desktop](/docs/vps-desktop/). Do not run the customer app as root to work around permissions.
