# Install on Linux ARM64 Use a native aarch64 build and keep the laptop workload lightweight. ## Select and verify Confirm `uname -m` reports `aarch64` or `arm64`. Choose Linux ARM64 on [Downloads](/downloads/). Compare `sha256sum ` with the complete published checksum before extracting. An AMD64 archive or compatibility emulator is not a native ARM64 installation. ## Prepare the desktop Use an ordinary user with a working Wayland or X11 session and the dependencies listed for the release. Managed activation uses the desktop Secret Service; unlock your keyring. Do not turn on plaintext credential storage to bypass a locked or missing keyring. ## Run the installed launcher Use the Workcell shortcut. The ARM64 launcher also provides `workcell-foundry preflight` for display/storage diagnostics. `workcell-foundry run --ui-scale 125` selects a larger interface. Do not edit files inside a content-addressed installed application object. ## Keep first launch small Start with the tiny paused project. Do not automatically restore a heavy simulation. A black view may be a camera or missing-asset problem, not necessarily a GPU failure; inspect the scene and see [troubleshooting](/docs/troubleshooting/).
